The C-ROADS Greece Workshop will be held virtually in the framework of the 6th ITS Hellas Conference on Intelligent Transport Systems

The Workshop of the European Project C-ROADS Greece will take place on Monday 14 December 2020 as part of the 6th Conference of the Hellenic Association for the deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems – ITS Hellas, which will be held on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 December as a virtual event.

The scope of the C-ROADS Greece Workshop is to inform national stakeholders (passenger and freight transport) and key players for the deployment of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) in Greece with special focus on the test sites (Egnatia Pilot and Attica Pilot) and also consult them to latest C-ITS services. Within the frame of the workshop a round table discussion will be hosted on the presented topics aiming to share experiences and receive valuable feedback from the participants.

The C-ROADS Platform, co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility of the European Union, is a joint initiative of European Member States and road operators for testing and implementing Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) services in light of cross-border harmonisation and interoperability across Europe. The goal is to achieve the deployment of interoperable cross-border C-ITS services for road users.

18 European Member States are participating to the C-ROADS platform with national pilots in order to test and validate locally C-ITS services based on the common communication profiles agreed at the C-Roads Platform level. Within this framework Greece, as a member state, participates to C-ROADS platform with its national pilot. Specifically, the Greek pilot will take place at two test sites, one in Northern Greece (Egnatia Pilot) and one in Attica Region (Attica Pilot).
